How To Calculate Your Residential Electric Bill

Example: Current meter reading is 5820. Previous meter reading was 5689. Subtract these two.
Result: 131.

Multiply the result by your meter multipler. (Most of our residential meters have a multiplier of 10.)
131 x 10 = 1310. This result is your usage since last month.

Now, multiply your usage by the rate of .079 cents per kilowatt hour. 1310 x .079 = $103.49.

Finally, add the monthly facility charge of $12.00. The total electric bill = $115.49.
